What is a Worry Stone?

Worry Stones, also called fidget stones, soothing stones, sensory stones, or thumb stones, are porous stones with an intent to ease your stress and release the anxiety. 
According to conventional cognitive behavior therapy, the use of a worry stone can be a healthy, self-soothing exercise that can help counter negative comforting habits like lip biting or nail biting, as an example. Worry stones are often used along with other relaxation exercises to give the maximum benefits to the user.

Worry stones may be as small as a thumbprint or as large as the palm of your hand. Larger worry stones may be called palm stones, and look like the oval-shaped rocks used for stone massage.

How To Use A Worry Stone

For the record: There is no right or wrong way to use your worry stone, but there are different ways to employ it in your practice
Through a process called acupressure, rubbing the stones between our fingers or in our palms stimulates the numerous nerve endings. These points called pressure points connect to meridians within our bodies which stimulate aspects of the brain. This allows the release of endorphins, creating a naturally calming and euphoric effect.
Worry stones are used by holding them between the index finger and thumb and smoothly moving our thumb back and forth across the stone. 
Gently move your thumb back and forth over the surface of the worry stone while focusing on a positive affirmation. This act, although so simple, will help release physical tension, ease worries and anxieties. After a few minutes, you should feel a sense of calm and renewed focus on the task at hand.
They are also a discreet way to take care of anxiety in public. Keeping a stone in your pocket and brushing it will help you counter tensed situations.

Cleansing Your Worry Stone

Being in proximity to a worried person means that worry stones can sometimes pick up negative energy—in addition to dead skin, natural oils, and finger crud. If your worry stone has begun to look or feel less than shiny, it may be time to give it a good cleansing.
Most worry stones are safe to wash with gentle soap and water. (Exceptions are Selenite, Halite, and other water-soluble crystals). Energetic cleansing may be done by the method of your choice. Place your worry stone in a bowl of salt or leave it outside under moonlight or sunlight until it feels squeaky clean again.

When A Crystal Breaks

The breakage of a favorite stone or amulet causes a lot of concern among magickally-minded folx. Psychic stress or physical handling (or a combination of the two) can be enough to make a worry stone split into pieces.
However surprising it may be, a broken worry stone is not a sign of a curse or a bad omen. HISTORY

Lore has it that our ancestors discovered worry stones by picking up an especially smooth stone in the dust and fiddling with it.
The ancient Greeks are usually credited with the invention of the worry stone—though similar concepts exist among Native American tribes, Tibetan Buddhists, and other cultures around the world. 
Greece’s many miles of rough coastlines yield stones smoothed naturally by the sea. In modern Greece and Cyprus, komboloi (worry beads) are found in nearly every tourist shop. Unlike rosaries and Indian prayer beads, Greek worry beads do not usually have a religious/spiritual meaning. They are carried as a fashion accessory or a pleasant way to pass the time.
In Native American lore, they carried stones in a bag or pouch and they were handed down to the younger generation. Through the bag of stones, the younger generation would have a link to their ancestors. They could ask them for help during times of difficulty.
In Ireland, worry stones are made from Connemara marble, a green-veined, serpentine-rich stone from that region. Rubbing a piece of Connemara marble is said to make worries disappear and to bring good luck.
Stone beads are also used in the Christian and Buddhist traditions in the form of Rosaries or prayer beads. The stones are rubbed between the fingers as specific prayers are said.
Coming into the forefront in the alternative medicine communities in the 1970’s, worry stones have increased in popularity, moving into the realm of therapeutic applications specifically for relieving stress, tension and anxiety.

What's the quality of ingredients utilized?

We use 100% from Nature Ingredients. The majority of our herbs are organic and ethically wildcrafted and foraged locally. The rest are typically garden grown in our medicinal garden. We do outsource when needed and always choose quality, organic sources. We try to utilize our local small business owners but do have several things that are shipped from non local small family farms.
Our products are herbalist created in small batches and all natural, free of harmful chemicals, and are cruelty-free and eco-friendly. We focus on creating the best possible recipes each and every time and offer a quality you can't buy in store.

How is it made? What's the lowdown on the butters?

Everything is handmade to order in small batches using fair trade, organic, raw and wildcrafted ingredients whenever possible. This ensures your batch is fresh and the highest quality. We put our heart and soul into our products and trust that the plants will offer their healing to all that they touch.
We use Fair Trade, Raw and Organic Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, and Mango Butter. We use unrefined butters as this keeps all the vitamins, minerals and other natural properties of the butters intact. Our cocoa butter is non deodorized as the process of deodorizing (removing the naturally occurring soft cocoa scent) will destroy the antioxidants that naturally occur in the butter.

Where's the chemicals?

Free from chemicals! Well, sort of. Technically, Chemicals make up all matter. That means stating that we use no chemicals would be a lie as the scientific definition of chemical means that most everything (other than "energy" itself) IS a chemical. But we know what you mean and we ARE Free from Parabens, Pesticides, Petroleum, Phthalates, Sulfates, SLS, Artificial Colors, Synthetic Fragrances, and all the other yucky stuff.

Sustainability Promise

We reuse everything we can, from cardboard boxes & packing peanuts, to shipping air pillows. We never buy plastic shipping materials, so if you receive one, that's us reusing one that was sent to us from a supplier. A vast majority of our supplies are reused from what suppliers send us. We recycle our cardboard, brown paper, printing paper, packing materials, plastic jugs, and as much plastic as can be recycled. Your order ships in reusable containers, whenever possible.

Any allergens?

Of course. There's a wide range of allergies and sensitivities out there and it's possible to be allergic to any ingredient used as well as cross allergies. Some of the butters and oils used can trigger nut allergies. We recommend messaging us directly for more info prior to buying if you're aware of any major allergens. Always perform a spot check on the inside of your arm. Apply a small quantity of product to skin, smaller than the size of a dime, and then wait several hours. Allergies can start at any stage and age so if an unsuspected allergy occurs when using a product, discontinue use immediately and consult your doctor.

Contact us as soon as possible with your correct shipping address. Make sure you include the correct name your order was placed under and your order number which can be found on your purchase invoice. This makes sure we locate your order in the system quickly!

After alerting us to the situation and providing the corrected information, please update your profile info to reflect your current address.

We ARE NOT responsible for orders that are sent to the incorrect address due to customer error. We will not be responsible for shipping orders a second time due to issues with the submitted address, issues with the recipients receptacle (overfull, missing, etc), or any other issues out of our hands. Once a shipping label has been created and a package is in the mail, we no longer have access to it.

MY ORDER WAS LOST IN THE MAIL OR STOLEN OUT OF MY MAILBOX! NOW WHAT?

Please understand that once your order ships we are no longer in control of what happens to your items.
If an item was lost in the mail and you paid for priority shipping we will file a claim, as soon as the claim is accepted we will issue a full refund. Please note if a package is marked as delivered we can not file a claim.
If an item was lost in the mail and you selected ground shipping at checkout we can not file a claim. At this point in time we will submit a mail recovery request with the USPS.
If a package is marked delivered via tracking but is not in your mailbox, we are not responsible for contacting usps, please check with your neighbors, check with your delivery person, & check with your post office to see if they have it.

Due to the nature of our products, we do not take returns or refunds. There are very special circumstances under which we may choose to refund an item or order.
Sending an unapproved return will not result in store credit or a refund and the returned item may be disposed of on your behalf.

My Salve/Balm melted in the mail!

During the summer, warm months, or warm weather:
Please remove your balms from the mailbox or porch as soon as they are delivered. We can not control shipping times or the weather (although we wish we could) and can not refund, replace or accept returns of melted balms. If your balms melt, using a handheld mixer can be useful, and just place it in a cool, dark location, or to quickly reset them, pop them in the fridge for 5-15 minutes. The balm quality should not be affected. Also, the balms may whiten in cooler temps; just give a stir! This will also not affect the quality. Thank you for your understanding.

If I drink the psychic tea will I become psychic? How do the "magic teas" work? What results can I expect?

There's no strong psychotropic. It's more of a gentle assist in opening the third eye, Sahasrara, and Agnya. I'm an herbalist so I choose to work with a combination of metaphysical attributes and ayurvedic. Some herbs in the psychic blend have very mild sedative properties, mostly to aid in relaxing and accessing the energies. I like to say "they're herbs, not magic." These blends offered are to simply help you access and expand your own magical intent. They have historical, traditional, and mythological ties to specific powers, but wouldn't necessarily invoke powers you do not have or haven't yet cultivated. These tea blends are lovely mild alternatives of safe herbs to open the gateway to accessing what you desire.

My cauldron has wax residue on it! What's the deal?

Cast iron products are traditionally made by casting melted iron ore into a mold.
Lost-wax process, also called cire-perdue, is a method of metal casting in which a molten metal is poured into a mold that has been created by means of a wax model. The wax is then melted off. Some wax residue may remain, especially in crevices and design features. To remove any remaining wax, you can gently scrape it away with a tool or your fingernail. Clean with a damp cloth and dry well to prevent any rusting.

Missing Mail

Missing Mail is mail that has not been delivered by the expected delivery date. This applies to packages that have tracking info not updated to "delivered," mail that is lost, or extraordinarily late mail. 
If it has been lost, late or missing for 7 days or more, you can:

• Visit your local Post Office location for assistance in filling out a Missing Mail request.

• If your products arrive damaged or broken, please contact me within 24 hours to report the damage and discuss an acceptable resolution. Photographs of the damage are required, and will help me understand what went wrong, and how to ship safer in the future.
